How Does the Creep Stress Regulate Void Formation at the Lithium‐Solid Electrolyte Interface during Stripping?

Interfacial instability from void formation at the solid–solid interface is one of crucial challenges in solid-state batteries. However, fundamental mechanism as to how stress generated lithium and thus impacts has not been established. A general creep/contact electro-chemo-mechanical model herein developed reveal mechanisms Li/solid electrolyte (SE) during stripping. Li calculation achieved by presuming that strain-rate-dependent creep deformation metal acts like an incompressible viscous fluid flow. The results demonstrate dominant impedes creep-induced flux enhancement vacancies, which are transported into for a non-ideal Li/SE with pre-existing interfacial defects. This contrasts previous simulations on ideal flat vacancy diffusion away shown govern whether voids formed.
